One specific piece of feedback we've gotten about our redesign is that it's tough to get a sense of who receives the messages you post. We've gotten comments from users along the lines of, "I'd like to post a message to my neighborhood, but I don't have a good sense of who's going to see it and read it."
With that in mind, we've just changed the interface to give you a clearer indication of whom your messages are reaching. From now on, when you start posting a message to a neighborhood, you'll see the number of people that will see it. (In tech speak, this is the number of people who follow places that geographically overlap it.) You'll also see a selection of profile photos of those users. The whole thing looks like this:
Note that this feature will only appear in neighborhoods with a certain critical mass of followers.
