Neighbor recruitment update: The leading neighborhoods

As of today, we’re two-thirds of the way through our neighbor recruitment drive with in five EveryBlock cities. Thanks to everyone who has signed up in the month of April — for every new user we’ll donate $1 to to support their classroom fundraisers in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle.

Here’s where things get really interesting: In addition to donating $1 to a classroom fundraiser in each new EveryBlock neighbor’s city, we’ll also award a $500 bonus to the three neighborhoods in each city that tally the most new users. As of today, these are the six neighborhoods with the most signups in each city.

Chicago: Edgewater, Ravenswood, Lake View, Horner Park, Rogers Park, Northcenter, Logan Square

New York: Harlem, Central Harlem North, Central Harlem South, Morningside Heights, Manhattanville, East Harlem South

Philadelphia: City Center East, Wharton, City Center West, Schuykill, Pennsport, Poplar

San Francisco: Western Addition, Lower Haight, Downtown/Civic Center, South of Market, Haight Ashbury, Mission

Seattle: Green Lake, Maple Leaf, Phinney Ridge, Wallingford, Beacon Hill, Columbia City

Remember, only three neighborhoods in each city will get the extra $500 for area schools’ DonorsChoose projects, so it’s time for a little friendly competition. Which neighborhoods will sign up the most new users over the next 10 days and claim their reward? The local schools that play such an important part in our communities are the winners here!
