Back in February, we announced our partnership with the Third Coast Festival's ShortDocs Challenge, a way for anyone try their hand at making radio. We helped come up with the theme of the challenge, which, naturally, ended up being about your neighbors.
It's time to hear the winners. If you're in Chicago, join us on July 10 at the Hideout for a ShortDocs listening room, where they'll be playing the winning pieces, along with some other great local submissions. Beforehand, we'll be hosting a get-together in the front room of the Hideout. No agenda -- just come out to meet your neighbors, some of the EveryBlock team and some Third Coast folks. We'll be giving out our awesome EveryBlock bags. Meetup starts at 6; listening room at 7:30.
Most importantly, two excellent food trucks will be parked outside to sell you dinner: The Chicago Schnitzel King and The Tamale Spaceship.
